Wealth Magnetism Basics: Money is Abundant
by Michael A. Thomas

Unless you have been living under a rock the past few years, you have probably heard about a DVD called The Secret. If you haven’t, I’ll bring you up to speed. Essentially, The Secret is a 90-minute discussing how you can use the power of your mind to help create the life you want. It also displays the stories of individuals who have harnessed this amazing power to overcome major adversity.

Just about every part of that DVD had a different nugget of wisdom to know and understand. But they all seemed to stem from one integral notion: that everything life should be about abundance, including money.

Now, if you don’t hang out with people who own boats or summer homes…or associate with people who have a plethora of custom made suits…or hang around people who have proficient at wealth magnetism, you might be bamboozled into thinking that those people are evil and stingy, and that there is not enough money to go around.

To the contrary, prosperous people seem to be coming out of the woodworks, like there is some big party happening, and you did not get an invitation. According to marketing reports, the “mass affluent” is the fastest segment of the population in the U.S., and only looks to grow even larger.

Try this experiment out next time you are at a book store. Check out copies of Millionaire Worth and The Robb Report and see if you think there are still only a small percentage of people living the high life.

Check out your local auction for classic cars. Go to the ritzy parts of town and immerse yourself in the lifestyles of the affluent, and you’ll be surprised at how many people there are out there with the wherewithal to buy what they want, when they want (and most times, at pretty steep prices).

In short, to begin the process of attracting wealth, you need to reprogram your mind to think in a different manner. You must condition your mind to believing, unequivocally, that there is in fact no short supply of money, but that it is abundant.

That being said, training your brain is a lot like training at the gym. Just as you aren’t going to be fit after one day of physical exercise, you aren’t going to be mentally fit in one day either. It’s an ongoing process.

To help speed things along, you’ll need to continue to immerse yourself in the affluent lifestyle to truly understand what they do, and more importantly, why they do it. I assure you, it will be the best research project you will ever take on.
